The panel of the Supreme Court judges of South Ossetia has not satisfied the appeal of the ex-Minister of Defence of the RSO Valery Tedeev, a businessman Khokh Gagloity and the chairman of the public organization «Non-departmental Control Committee» Svetlana Kozaeva against the decision of the Central Election Committee of the RSO, according to which, the mentioned citizens were refused of registration as the presidential nominees. It has been informed the news agency "Res" at the press-service of the Supreme Court of the RSO.

The panel of the Supreme Court judges of South Ossetia has not satisfied the appeal of the initiative group, nominating the General Director of the Public corporation «Stroyprogress» Albert Dzhussoev for presidential elections in the RSO, against the resolution of the Central Election Committee passed on October, 12. As informed by the press-service of the Supreme Court of the RSO, « the panel of the three Supreme Court judges has considered this case: a chief justice Atsamaz Bichenov and two judges -Karina Tskhovrebova and Nelli Tibilova.

The next meeting of participants of Mechanisms on prevention and reaction to incidents (MPRI) is planned to be held on October, 21st in the Georgian village Dvani, bordering on South Ossetia. It has been reported to the News agency "RES" at the office of the Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on the post-conflict settlement. «The South-Ossetian party will raise again a question on the missing citizens of South Ossetia, in particular, Alan Khachirov, Alan Khugaev and Soltan Pliev», - the employee of the plenipotentiary office has informed.

As the head of the Ministry of Construction Chermen Khugaev has informed the news agency "RES", all the houses in one of the central streets - the Heroes Street – have been already connected to the basic communications and in the near future the workers will start the sidewalk flagging. «All the sidewalks will be flagged, and the traffic area will be covered with asphalt. In the Heroes Street the road menders will start construction of the storm sewage, and the next week they will move to the roadbed. Then it is planned to start repair works of the parallel street», - Khugaev has informed.

The Central Election Committee of South Ossetia has completed registration of candidates for the Presidency. As reported by the Central Election Committee to IA "RES", 17 citizens of the RSO will contest the presidency. «In total 30 initiative groups have addressed to the Central Election Committee. Thirteen of them have been refused registration, and 17 nominees will participate in the elections», - has been noted at the Central Election Committee. Besides, in day of voting 86 polling stations will be opened.

Today, on October, 19, the youth government of South Ossetia has organized a protest action «Awards - to heroes! A shame medal -to Saakashvili! ». Participants of the action have opposed to awarding the President of Georgia Michail Saakashvili the Legion of Honour.

For today the passport and visa service of the RSO Interior Ministry has issued 2927 passports of the latest pattern. According to the information of the Minister for Internal Affairs of the RSO Valery Valiev at the parliament session, at present, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia has received five thousand passports of the latest pattern, and since May, 20 more than half of them have already been issued.

A citizen of Georgia is detained for illegal crossing of the frontier of South Ossetia. As informed by the KGB of the RSO press-service to the IA"RES", yesterday, on October, 18, the citizen of Georgia was detained by the Russian boundary control group near the settlement Gvirgvina in Znaurskiy District of the republic. «The arrested person is transferred to the KGB of the RSO frontier service. At present, the investigation on establishing the facts of crossing the state border is being carried on.

The delegation of South Ossetia, led by the President Eduard Kokoity, will take part in the festival «Days of the Ossetian culture in Sochi», which will be held from October, 21 till October, 28. As informed by the Ministry of Culture of the RSO to the news agency "RES", the South Ossetian State Song and Dance Ensemble "Simd", the singers: Vano Bekoev, Soslan Khasiev, Valery Bugulov- will also take part in the festival «Days of the Ossetian culture in Sochi"; the works of the South Ossetian artists, including the pictures of an outstanding Ossetian painter Makharbeg Tuganov», will be presented at the festival, too.
