New investment projects and a five-year program for the socio-economic development of the republic were discussed at the meetings with the leadership of South Ossetia.

Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov told journalists about this while commenting on the preliminary results of his working visit to South Ossetia.

He has noted that South Ossetia is a strategic ally of the Russian Federation and the countries have long-standing, good and fraternal relations.

South Ossetia and the Russian Federation are building a strong, strategic partnership based on mutual trust, common values ​​and aspirations, South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev said at the meeting with Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.

"Thanks to this cooperation, we are confidently moving along the path of sustainable development in all spheres of life," Gagloev said.

Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov noted the positive achievements of South Ossetia and successful cooperation with Russia.

“I am very impressed with the Republic,” Reshetnikov said at the meeting with the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev in Tskhinval. “It’s one thing to hear, and another thing to see and observe how development is going. We also see and really appreciate the attitude of the Republic’s residents towards us, especially in recent years in a difficult situation.”

A delegation of Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation headed by Minister Maxim Reshetnikov and Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev inspected the facilities being built in Tskhinval as part of the Investment Program.

The Russian delegation has included Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach, Head of the Department of Special Programs and Projects of Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Anton Melnik and other officials.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev held a meeting with a participant of the special military operation Roland Doguzov, the press service of the head of state reports.

Roland Doguzov was one of the first from South Ossetia to volunteer to protect the residents of Donbass in 2014 and is still participating in the military operations.

The head of state thanked the fighter for his faithful service and glorification of the Ossetian people.

In February, 19 violators of the established legal regimes were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia, the KGB press service reports.

The Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in South Ossetia will form a delegation to participate in the II International Congress of Pediatricians and the I Congress of the Eurasian Association of Pediatricians and Neonatologists. This was reported by the press service of the organization.

The return of the Okon triptych and ensuring access of the Ossetians to their ancestral lands under Georgian control, are discussed at the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, said Konstantin Kochiev, State Advisor to the President of South Ossetia.

The next, 64th, round of the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia is tentatively scheduled for June 24-25, - said State Advisor to President of South Ossetia Konstantin Kochiev.

"The date is still preliminary, it may change. We are waiting for official confirmation and the invitation to participate in the next round in Geneva," Kochiev said.
