The return of the Okon triptych and ensuring access of the Ossetians to their ancestral lands under Georgian control, are discussed at the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, said Konstantin Kochiev, State Advisor to the President of South Ossetia.

“At the 63rd round, the issue of the triptych was raised again as part of the discussion of humanitarian issues. Of course, the problems of the Ossetian lands of Tyrsygom and the adjacent territories were also discussed. It is fundamentally wrong that people are deprived of the access to the lands of their ancestors at someone’s whim,” said Kochiev.

He has noted that the issue is also raised at various venues by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Kochiev has added, that South Ossetia will be seeking to resolve the problem of the Tyrsygom inhabitants.
