In 2014 in South Ossetia will be completed the phase of reconstruction of housing and infrastructure destroyed during the Georgian aggression in August 2008, stated the President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov at a press conference on the results of the actions of the leadership in the past year.
The President has noted that over the past few years started the construction of dozens of large facilities ruined in the course of hostilities, but many of them have not been completed for various reasons.
"With the appointment of the Assistant to the President of Russia for cooperation with the CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Vladislav Surkov, the solution to these problems got moving. From among the objects of protracted construction we decided to select 26 the most significant ones," - said the president , adding that it was subsequently decided to add two more objects of importance for the gasification of the Republic. For these purposes were allocated about three billion rubles. To achieve these goals was involved the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan.
"I think this is what we need for the Republic, we had to do it before," - said the head of state.
He has assured that the government will not leave unemployed the local builders, previously engaged in the restoration of the Republic.
Leonid Tibilov has also noted that in the rehabilitation and construction processes are achieved significant results in the current year, in particular, in road construction.
"All the experts have noted a very high level of construction of the road Znaur-Tskhinval, the work continues on the road Bikar - Leningor. This year we built a number of roads to the remote areas of the Republic, many of them were electrified,"- said the president.
He has also reminded that one of the major events of the coming year will be parliamentary elections in the Republic. In this regard, the President called on the political forces and public organizations to do the utmost the elections to be held in a calm atmosphere and at a top level.
"I will not in any way support the people and political forces that intend to win a seat for personal purposes. The legislature of South Ossetia should work exclusively in the interests of the people,"- said Tibilov.
The President has added that next year the leadership and population of the Republic have much work to do.
"In 2014, we will be facing challenging tasks, and a year later we will see the ways of their implementation," - concluded Leonid Tibilov.
