The State of Alania will never be part of Georgia, South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev told the “Res” news agency on the phone, commenting on the words of the Georgian Prime Minister about joining the European Union together with Abkhazians and Ossetians.

"The train has left a long time ago, and you continue to stand on the same platform... It's time to take off your rose-colored glasses..." Medoev addressed the Prime Minister of Georgia.

According to the Minister, this is impossible under any Georgian regimes. "As for Garibashvili's pathetic statement about Georgia's accession to the European Union, I strongly doubt that the Europeans intend to do this, ignoring the European-Turkish factor of this topic. I think this is another bluff of the Georgian dreamers, moreover, and clearly of anti-Russian orientation. This is clearly evidenced by the fact that it has emerged against the backdrop of a military operation to denazify Ukraine. And in general, another, no less interesting question arises here, can any East Asian country be admitted to the Union of European States? Therefore, my advice to the Georgian prime minister and all dreamers is to reconsider the Georgian film classics, namely two films: "Times are Different Nowadays" and " Do not grieve,"Medoev said.

It should be noted that Georgia announced on Thursday that it had applied for membership in the European Union, and that the country hopes to "walk this path with its Abkhaz and Ossetian compatriots" in order to build a "united, strong European state."
