The meeting of the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov with a traumatologist-orthopedist, hand surgeon Andrey Zhigalo took place in Tskhinval as part of his working visit to participate in the International Medical Conference.
On Friday, Andrey Zhigalo, together with his colleagues, performed more than 50 hand surgery operations on South Ossetian patients on a free basis.
The President has expressed his gratitude for the work he has been doing in South Ossetia for more than a year and presented him with the state award of the Republic - the Order of Friendship.
“I know that you and your team of specialists examined more than 100 patients and performed 50 surgeries. This is quite impressive. Your activities and overall relations between the Ministries of Health of the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia give an additional impetus to fruitful cooperation. Many thanks to you and all your colleagues,” Anatoly Bibilov said.
In turn, Andrei Zhigalo has noted that he intends to continue to cooperate with the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of South Ossetia.
