The II Russian-Ossetian Forum has started in South Ossetia. The Forum participants are young people from Russia (including North Ossetia, Chechnya, the Luhansk and the Donetsk People's Republics), Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The guests were greeted by First Deputy Prime Minister Alan Dzhioev. On behalf of the government of South Ossetia, he thanked the guests for participating in the Forum and wished them fruitful work.
"Addressing all the guests, I want to say that it is in your passionate participation in everything that is happening, it is in your activity, in your focus on achieving results that the success of our common future lies," Dzhioev said.
The head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in South Ossetia, Sergei Skvortsov, addressing the Forum participants, has noted that the future of their countries is in their hands.
“Young people are our future. The future of the countries you represent is in your hands, and I want you to remember this all the time. Now, the more united and closer you interact, the easier it will be for you and for those you leave behind in your countries,” said Skvortsov.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports Valentina Gatikoeva has stressed that every year the integration processes between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation are becoming stronger in all areas, noting that the sphere of youth policy is no exception.
“The Forum has already started today. The first round table was held, where youth-national initiatives were discussed, creative ideas were voiced, a certain vector of the direction of cooperation between our republics was chosen. And already in 2023, we will jointly put all this into practice. Youth is our future, our present and our hope,” Gatikoeva said.
Representatives of the countries participating in the Forum, in turn, thanked for the opportunity to take part in it.
“Thanks a lot to the leadership of the Republic and directly to the organizers of this Forum for the opportunity to be here. We are very impressed with what we have seen here and where we have participated. Youth integration is an important part of our policy, and we will certainly deal with it and try to become the youth that you will be proud of,” said the representative of the Chechen Republic.
A concert program was presented for the Forum participants with the participation of the State Song and Dance Group “Simd ” and young gymnasts. Honored Artist of South and North Ossetia and Abkhazia Zalina Sapiyeva and winner of many awards, silver medalist of the Sanremo Stars International Vocal Competition in Italy Marta Kharebova performed their vocal numbers for the guests.
For three days, young people will be participating in seminars, round tables, master classes and simply communicating.
The purpose of the Forum is to create an educational platform for the professional creative self-realization of young people, to stimulate the project activities of young people, as well as to develop international youth cooperation and strengthen friendly ties.
