Progress on the issue of removing the Georgian police post from the territory of South Ossetia has not yet been achieved, but the work in this direction will continue, the head of the South Ossetian delegation in this format, Egor Kochiev, told reporters after the meeting in Ergnet within the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms.

“The issue of removing the illegal Georgian police post in the village of Uista (Tsnelis) is always one of the first raised at the meetings in the IPRM format. I cannot yet say that we have made any progress in this matter. But the work is underway, it is systematic, and will not stop under any circumstances,” he said.

Kochiev has noted that the South Ossetian party will demand the withdrawal of the Georgian police post from the territory of South Ossetia.
