The South Ossetian Parliament has ratified the Treaty with the Russian Federation on the development of military-technical cooperation.

The issue was considered at the session of the legislature on Friday.

As noted by Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-parliamentary Relations Zaza Driaev, the draft law proposes to ratify the Treaty signed in Tskhinval on August 23, 2023.

“The Treaty is aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries in the military-technical sphere,” Driaev said.

A meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie Vitaly Ignatiev and the head of the South Ossetian representative mission in the PMR Vitaly Yankovsky took place at the MFA of Pridnestrovie.

The diplomats summed up the results of the outgoing year and discussed a comprehensive plan for interaction between the two countries for 2025. The parties confirmed the priority nature of diplomatic relations between the fraternal republics, the press service of the PMR MFA reports.

A meeting between South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev and the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov took place in Simferopol. During the meeting, they discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation between South Ossetia and the Republic of Crimea.

Sergey Aksyonov greeted Alan Gagloev and noted that "our peoples are united today not only by a common history and long-standing friendship."
