The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia took part in a gala event dedicated to the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the founding of RUDN.
“Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Znaur Gassiev sent the letter of gratitude to the rector of RUDN University Oleg Yastrebov and the teaching staff of the University for the work being carried out in the framework of training highly qualified national personnel for the Republic and wished the entire team further success for the benefit of Russia,” the Embassy’s press service said.

A meeting was held at the Embassy of South Ossetia between Ambassador of the Republic Znaur Gassiev and Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Russia Jesus Rafael Salazar Velazquez, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.

The delegation of Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia will visit the Interdepartmental Russian-Abkhaz tactical exercises.
As TASS reports with reference to the chief adviser to Minister of Internal Affairs of Abkhazia Inal Marshania, the exercises will take place on February 10 in Abkhazia on the territory of the Ritsinsky relict national park.

The State Security Committee of South Ossetia invites the heads of rural administrations to intensify explanatory work with the population of the border settlements aimed at preventing violations of the border legislation.

According to the press service of the department, despite the measures taken to prevent the commission of offenses in the field of protecting the state border, the Border Service has noted the facts of non-compliance by individual citizens of the Republic with the rules of entry (passage), temporary stay and movement in the border zone.

The Committee on Youth Policy and Sports of South Ossetia announced the start of collecting assistance to the fighters in the special military operation as part of the event dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day.

“The guys will need any type of assistance: equipment, personal hygiene products, non-perishable foods, essentials, medicines, etc.,” the statement of the department’s press service reads .

The collection point is open on weekdays from 9.00 to 17.00 in the Committee building at 1 Osetinskaya Street.

South Ossetian products at the International Food and Beverage Exhibition Prodexpo are becoming more and more in demand and recognizable, South Ossetia’s trade representative in Russia, Taimuraz Goginov, noted in a comment to IA “Res ”.
According to him, participation in the Prodexpo-2024 exhibition gives the Republic a good opportunity to promote its products.
