President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov has congratulated the tripleOlympic champion, the world-renowned Ossetian freestyle wrestler Arthur Taymazov on his victory at the Olympic Games in London.
A friendly football match between the South Ossetia national team and the Serbian team from Kosovo has started at the Republican Stadium, named after Guram Tskhovrebov, in Tskhinval.
The game was scheduled for August 7 – on the eve of the mourning events in the Republic timed to the fourth anniversary of the Georgian aggression against the people of South Ossetia. However, due to the objective reasons the match was postponed to August 14.
Representatives of the Russian government delegation led by Deputy Minister of Regional Development Sergei Vereshchagin inspected the facilities under construction and restoration in the capital of South Ossetia objects. During the inspection the guests were accompanied by Minister of Construction of South Ossetia Anatoly Maschelkin; they examined a number of socially significant facilities in Tskhinval, including educational institutions.
The Russian delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Regional Development of Russia Sergei Vereshchagin,has arrivedin South Ossetiaon a working visit. In Tskhinval the delegation met with representatives of the South Ossetian authorities. The meeting was also attended by President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov.
The Serbian football team from Kosovo will arrive today in South Ossetia to participate in a friendly match with local football players. This has been announced by the RSO President Leonid Tibilov at the today's meeting with the heads of security, defence and law enforcement agencies of South Ossetia.
"Yesterday we have received one part of the delegation from the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia, today we are expecting the rest of the guests," - said Tibilov.
According to him, the delegation will be working in the Republic for a week.
The Mayor of Yasbereny (Hungary) Tamas Szabo invited a delegation of South Ossetia to the official reception in honor of the guests of the annual International Folklore Festival.
The reception took place at the city hall of Yasbereny. The city hall was attended by leaders and members of the city parliament.
The visit of the delegation of South Ossetia headed, by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia Mira Tskhovrebova to the Hungarian city of Yasbereny, is going ahead.
A meeting with the Mayor of Yasbereny Dr. Tamas Szabo has also taken place. The Mayor welcomed the guests warmly. Mira Tskhovrebova sent him the regards from the Speaker of Parliament of South Ossetia Stanislav Kochiev.
